Design and tech (from the review)
Inclined glass look; metallic accents on the control tray. Prefer inclined if you are tall and hated the old box for head bumps.
BLDC brushless motor — he repeats the efficiency pitch (~20–40% better electricity-to-rotation vs conventional) and real use: strong suction at lower speeds, less power draw.
Filterless: centrifugal oil separation into a tray; auto-clean heats grease into the lower tray. No constant mesh-filter washing.
Suction on the site (his words): about 1800 cubic meters. Everyday tadka / steam / cooker vapours — often only speed 2–3 of 9. Full blast rare.
Controls, install, cleaning
Touch controls are solid. Gesture works but is not bulletproof for him after months — installer’s gestures worked; his often need retries. He prefers touch.
Amazon → Crompton installer. Duct / core-cutting hole not included (extra if you need it). His duct diameter was slightly small — second visit, no extra charge. In-box duct was enough for him.
Glass: wet microfiber. Oil tray after auto-clean is easier than a big mesh filter. Black glass shows stains clearly.

Cons: still loud on the highest setting; gesture reliability; black glass shows every mark; price vs traditional similar size.
Verdict
Good inclined BLDC pick if you do not want to stretch to ₹30–40k. Do not dismiss Crompton just because it is not a “chimney-only” brand — many chimneys are white-label anyway. Among BLDC, he still sees this as one of the cheaper doors in.
